NAB Group Engineering Ltd. is a respected concrete services company in the UK. The company opened its doors in 2011 when Naib Singh Aulakh saw the need for a superior concrete services company.


With 18 years worth of invaluable experience, Naib has steered his company from its humble beginnings to a multi-million-pound company. Our key values are quality, commitment, relationship and safety. Under Naib’s leadership, the company continues to grow in leaps and bounds. 


Over time, the company has completed more than 150 contracts for happy clients nationwide, reaching an £8m annual turnover between 2019 – 2020. You’re welcome to view our portfolio to see the kind of quality work that we do.

OUR COMMITMENT

At NAB Group Engineering Ltd we understand that our field of work is typically one of elevated risk, and one that demands 100% commitment to the effective management of Health & Safety accordingly.

As such, our top priority is placed on getting Health & Safety management right first time, ensuring our operatives have the correct Training, Information and Supervision, together with the right equipment to undertake their works, and that everyone goes home safely each and every day. This includes ANY person potentially affected by our works, be they construction site based or member of the public.

We are proud of our existing track record demonstrating low rate of incident/accident and are fully committed to keeping our RIDDOR accident frequency rate at/close to zero. ANY accident or incident is one too many, and our continual target is to eliminate possibility of any dangerous occurrence within our power to do so.

NAB Group Engineering Ltd adopt its own approach in order to meet this “effective Health & Safety management” priority. We proudly refer to this approach as the “NAB-SAFE” way, which encompasses all applicable elements to Health & Safety management, the core elements of which are broken in the following slides.

TRAINING

The company is committed to the provision and upkeep of current Health & Safety training, promoting both company and employee development.

As company minimum standard, all NAB operatives hold current CSCS/CPCS (or recognised equivalent) trade/job specific competency cards, with additional training provided for specialist job roles, applicable works activities, and use of required works equipment. Examples (not limited to) below:

CITB - Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) trained Site Managers

CITB - Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) trained Site Supervisors

Plant operators (Excavators, Dumpers, Ride-on-Rollers, MEWPS etc.)

Working at height (fall restraint/arrest PPE systems)  

Works in Confined Spaces (typically associated with access to drainage systems)

Buried services location (“CAT & Genny” equipment)

Access equipment (PASMA training for the erection, inspection & maintenance of Mobile Towers)

OUR PLANTS

OUR PLANTS

NAB Group offers the best in the industry be it a General Labour, Concrete worker, Groundworker, or Plant operative. We have 300 all certified workers, checked by Home office for work eligibility. We make sure all the certificates are up to date. We pride ourselves in providing all PPE so our Contractor do not have to bare any cost.


We also provide our own concrete placing plants be it a job on price or dayworks.

Naib Aulakh

CEO

Naib started the company out 18 years ago when he identified a gap in the concrete services in construction industry. Initially, he had started NAB Concrete Service Ltd where they supply Labourers, Concreters, Ground Workers, and all machine drivers but as the team grew and got stronger, Naib also built excellent client relationship and started to take up subcontract work.

Naib has always been driven by good results on site and exceeding the expectation of clients. As the CEO, Naib is proud to have come this far and grown the business from the humble beginnings and hopes to continue the growth of the business.

Alin Busi

Managing Director

Alin is an experienced leader that grows all sectors of the business to make it a dynamic and progressive organisation.


Alin focuses his time on supporting the business and ensuring the people are motivated, engaged, and productive. He is a genuine advocate of shared success and leadership through example. His time is focused on strategic growth that includes building a bigger and stronger team with common objective to deliver quality work to our clients. Alin has strong leaderships skills in board governance and new business development.

Anca Balan

Financial Director

With an extensive senior level accountancy experience, Anca is developing and controlling the company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met, and financial and statutory regulations complied with.

 

She is monitoring external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company.

Nick Bryant

Commercial Director North

Nick has held Senior Director level roles in some of the UK’s most foremost Civil Engineering companies. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has had over 25 years’ experience working for both national Main Contractors and Specialist Sub Contract organisations.

Nick deals with all Contractual and Commercial matters within the organisation.

Sarbjit Bhandal

Head of Accounts

Sarb is a key member of the team with over 15 years’ experience in account practices. Leading the team and supporting with the functional and cross functional financial processes and procedures to include not least Payroll, Monthly Management Accounts, Reporting, Inventory, Reconciliation, Purchase Ledger, liaising with external auditors and managing the end of year audit. 


Sharply focused, persistent, and determined, Sarb improved billing efficiency and increased accuracy of financial forecast.

Nicu Gonta

Contract Manager

Nicu is the key figure for the success of our construction projects. He oversees every aspect, including the planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.

 

Nicu is responsible for ensuring timeframe targets and budgets are met, collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project and organising the schedule of works, ensuring operational impacts are minimised.

Mick Doohan

Operations Director, Scotland

Mick moved to London in the early nineties and has forged a successful career in the RC Frame industry over the last 30 years, mostly specialising in reinforced concrete structures, and most recently was involved in the new Battersea development in London.

Mick joins the Nab Group as operations director in Scotland where he will oversee all projects in Scotland.


Mick has a particular interest in concrete construction structures and has been involved in projects across residential, commercial, retail, and civils.

Samandeep Singh

Development Director

Samandeep started with NAB group as a concrete finisher. NAB selected Samandeep as a supervisor as they appreciate and rewarded the passion towards his work.

 

Every day a new challenge appeared but Samandeep never gave up, improved his strategic thinking and organisational skills and NAB promoted him as a Development Director.


NAB gives opportunities to new faces every time.

Harjeet Multani

Concrete Operations Director

Harjeet started as a labourer in 2014 with NAB.  With his top-drawer analytical and problem-solving skills NAB selected Harjeet as a Site Supervisor.  In 2016 Harjeet completed his SSSTS following with NVQ gold card qualification in 2019.

 

His loyalty, integrity and high skills at performing reports and documentation helped Harjeet become a Concrete Operations Director within NAB Group.

Steven Ross

Operations Director

Steven Ross has been in the construction industry for 35 years. Steven started off as a carpenter and progressed his way up to foreman carpenter and then on to construction manager.
 
Steven joined NAB Group in May last year and started as a contracts manager. Due to his hard work and in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions he became Operation Director for South England.
